- Nearly a month before, Drake made prime bid of $1.26 Million worth of BTC on a Super Bowl match between Cincinnati Bengals and LA Rams.
“Money In The Grave”
The previous week, an Ultimate Fighting Championship match among Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal was the center of attraction of UFC 272. This fight was particularly special because both the fighters are best friends, teammates, and roommates outside the ring. However, the fighters cannot resist each other now, and several believed that this match was going to be brutal.
It appears like popular artist Drake, was also intrigued by this match and he made a bet on Jorge Masvidal if he knocks down Colby Covington.
Though the match didn’t end in a knockout, the fight was brutal — as anticipated by several fans. Covington was prominently better than Jorge during the fight, landing 218 strikes on Masvidal, whereas Masvidal was only able to land 90 strikes on him. The former was in complete control of the fight, and all judges voted for him.
It is noteworthy that Masvidal was an underdog in the battle as his odds to win were 1 out of 3.75. Had he knocked his opponent Drake would have bagged more than $750K worth of BTC.
During his victory press conference, Covington commenced taunting Drake. He stated that let us talk about his lost money. Fighter even urged the Rapper to trade a few of his albums to reimburse his damages.
Drake’s Loss, Not Always “God’s Plan”
Around a month ago, the rapper made a prime bet of $1.26 million worth of BTC on a Super Bowl match among Cincinnati Bengals and LA Rams.
Particularly, he made a bet around $472K on Los Angeles Rams to conquer the title, around $400K on Odell Beckham Junior to grab the touchdown, and $400K on footballer to have more than 62.5 receiving yards.
The Los Angeles Rams won by 23-20, bringing Drake more than $240K worth of BTC. Additionally, OBJ grabbed the initial touchdown o match, bringing Drake another $453K of Bitcoin.
Unfortunately, the LA Rams player had to suffer from an injury in the 4th quarter and thus could not get more than 62.5 receiving yards, meaning, Drake lost the bet eventually.
Still, during the aftermath, Drake bagged a profit of $300K worth of Bitcoin from his Super Bowl forecasts.
