According to Brock Pierce, a Crypto billionaire, the leading cryptocurrency in the world, Bitcoin will either become highly successful or fail miserably.
Pierce, who acts as the chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation, in an interview with Fox Business says that the investors recommend investors not to invest all that they have in the asset class, stating that Bitcoin’s value can become zero. “It’s a binary outcome,” he says.
Pierce says that one shouldn’t stake their everything because its value either will reach $1 million or zero.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin was exchanging hands at $34,791.73
Moreover, Pierce says the current situation of the digital asset class reminds him of the tech bubble that happened 20 years ago when a culling of internet startups happened.
He says that it reminds him of 1999 and we are again in that phase. Pierce notes that big platforms such as Amazon and eBay are the product of that phase along with various other interesting businesses from the Dot-Com sort of 1.0 era, pointing out that a bunch of them went to zero.
However, Pierce then clears that it doesn’t mean the innovation isn’t real and will be playing a significant role in the collective future of us as a society.
Pierce then reveals that besides Bitcoin, he is hugely invested in one Ethereum (ETH) competitor.
“I famously just made a nine-figure bet on EOS,” he unveils. Further saying that he converted his Block. one share into that.
The billionaire is also quite interested in what’s happening within the NFT [non-fungible token] market. He shares that he was part of the NFT.com purchase and launch which took place last week.
For the unaware, NFT.com is a non-fungible token marketplace driven by the community. It enables users to create their own profile galleries.
At the time of writing, EOS, a smart contract platform for decentralized applications, was exchanging hands at $2.02.
