Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has joined the ranks of cryptocurrency enthusiasts who believe the value of BTC could skyrocket by making a bold prediction for the future of Bitcoin. Speaking on CNBC, Armstrong said Bitcoin could eventually be worth “several million” per coin, describing it as “the dawn of a new day for crypto.”

“We’ve seen incredible growth and Bitcoin hit an all-time high yesterday,” Armstrong said. “I think over time we’ll see Bitcoin get into the multi-million price range.”

Armstrong outlined four key drivers for Bitcoin’s potential meteoric rise:

• Institutional Adoption: Large financial institutions are increasingly adopting Bitcoin, adding legitimacy and liquidity to the market.
• Approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs: The anticipated green light for BTC spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) is expected to bring significant inflows from traditional investors.
• Strategic Bitcoin Reserve: Former President Donald Trump’s proposal to create a U.S. Bitcoin reserve could set a precedent for other countries.
• Global Competition: Armstrong suggested that if the US creates a BTC reserve, other G20 countries could follow suit, creating a wave of global demand.

“If the US goes down this path, the rest of the G20 will probably follow,” Armstrong said. “Bitcoin will be the new gold standard, but crypto is much bigger than that.”
