The Skyrocketing Gains
Although the cryptocurrency market is still experiencing swings, several of its digital assets, such as the lately much-discussed Ethereum Classic (ETC) and Monero (XMR), as well as Trust Wallet’s utility token TWT, are seeing significant weekly increases. According to CoinMarketCap statistics retrieved on July 27, Trust Wallet Token leads the 100 pack with the largest gains in the last week – as much as 12 percent, followed by Bitcoin Gold (BTG) surpassing 11 percent, Qtum (QTUM) with more than 9 percent in weekly gains, ETC with more than 8 percent, and Monero gaining over 3 percent.
The Trust Wallet’s utility token (TWT), which increased 12.07 percent over the previous week, is a free, non-custodial mobile wallet where users may store their cryptocurrency and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The integration of networks including Cardano (ADA), KuCoin Community Chain (KCS), and Ronin Network was revealed by the platform a week ago (AXS, RON).
As for Bitcoin Gold, which is the open-source alternative to Bitcoin and the result of a hard fork, its weekly growth of 11.15 percent cannot be attributed to a single factor like those of the other top gainers, with the possible exception of a weaker U.S. dollar.

Alternative For PoW Miners After The Merge
The proof-of-stake (PoS) blockchain Qtum, which has increased 9.16 percent over the past seven days, was developed to combine the finest aspects of Bitcoin and Ethereum into one chain. A tweet from the beginning of July stated that the platform has reached 2 million blocks, indicating that more and more solutions are being built on top of it. Additionally, a hard fork is scheduled for the platform on July 31.
Ethereum Classic is now trading at 26.95 USD, up 8.48 percent over the last week. The endorsement of Vitalik Buterin, who referred to Ethereum Classic as a fully great chain, is one of the many reasons for Ethereum Classic’s success.
The second is that despite the impending Merge, that is going to convert Ethereum to the PoS method, miners have learned that they may continue to mine ETC using the Proof-of-Work (PoW) protocol.
