The largest Italian Restaurant Osteria Romana in Brussels, Belgium is now accepting $BTC,$ETH, and $LTC as payment methods. As the trend followed from 2010, the first transaction for the food is paid by the BTC miner purchasing two Papa John’s pizzas using bitcoin. After this, every year May 22 is celebrated as Pizza Day.
According to the current craze, several of the largest fast-food chains, including Subway in 2013, Burger King in 2019, Starbucks in 2020, and many others, now accept cryptocurrencies as payment. And currently, some applications that deliver food also accept payments in cryptocurrency.
Osteria Romana Accepts Cryptocurrency
As cryptocurrency is not most common in Belgium, La Vecchia Manager, thinks that the restaurant is the first in Brussels that accepts cryptocurrency. In the ten years of existence the owner has seen many changes, in the starting 15-20% have used the mode of cash for the payment.
