This growing ETH strength is seen as a sign that the next phase of the bull cycle is underway, with attention rotating toward altcoins.
Traders are drawing comparisons to 2021, when a similar pattern preceded a full-blown altseason. The Bitcoin dominance chart appears to be forming a structure that resembles its pre-breakdown phase from that year.
Supporting this shift, CryptoQuant reports that altcoin deposits on Binance just reached their highest level in nearly a year, exceeding 45,000 in a week. At the same time, the altcoin market cap has triggered a golden cross, a technical signal often associated with sustained price rallies.
The Altseason Index, while still below the 75 threshold, has climbed from 26 to 37 over the past month, pointing to growing investor appetite. Ethereum’s dominance, on-chain momentum, and stronger performance all suggest that altcoins are gradually gaining the upper hand. Although a full altseason hasn’t arrived yet, many of the early ingredients are now in place.
