According to a post by on-chain data platform Lookonchain, the Mt.Gox cold wallet transferred $35 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC) to an anonymous address.
Citing Arkham data, Lookonchain noted that a so-called Mt Gox cold wallet (starting with 1Jbez) transferred 500 BTC (worth around $35.04 million) to an anonymous address (starting with 12cTj) two hours ago.
While this is the first time the Mt. Gox address has made a transaction in two months, it remains unclear whether this activity is the start of a new round of refunds as part of the compensation payments.
According to Arkham Data, the Mt. Gox address still holds 44.9005BTC worth $3.11 billion.
