Shiba Inu Leader Excited as Welly Announces Opening of Two Community-Linked Stores

The Shiba Inu lead developer expresses excitement as Welly announces two fully connected stores, marking a significant milestone in their expansion plans.

Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu (SHIB), took to Twitter to show enthusiasm in response to Welly’s announcement of opening two new stores that will be fully connected with their token holders.

Kusama communicated his excitement in the well-understood crypto community slang, “LFG,” accompanied by the bulging eyes emoji, as Welly, a Shiba Inu-themed eatery, takes bold steps forward in their expansion and community engagement efforts.

Previously, Kusama had swiped at a crypto skeptic who criticized Shiba Inu’s partnership with Welly, as reported by The Crypto Basic.

Welly’s New Stores

In a detailed blog on Tuesday, Welly, the first NFT project with rewards from fast-food stores powered by SHIB, revealed their plans to expand their presence with two new stores, emphasizing their commitment to community engagement and connectivity.

The team also shared the information with the crypto community on Twitter with a remarkable comment:

Notably, after reflecting on their mode of operation and goals, Welly decided to temporarily halt expansion to reevaluate their approach and ensure their vision aligns with its community members. 

During this time, the team actively involved the community through the Welly DAO, allowing holders to propose ideas and collectively choose designs and brand identities for the upcoming stores.

As reported by The Crypto Basic last year, Welly had proposed launching ‘WellyDogDAO’ to allow holders to vote on decisions that concern the fast-food business. 

First Store to Reopen in Italy

Excitingly, the first store to reopen will be in Naples, Italy, reaffirming the love and support the community has shown for that location. The team has already begun renovation work to refurbish the kitchen and storefront.

Additionally, Welly announced their first franchise agreement with partners from Reggio Emilia, Enrico, and Federico, who have signed the rental contract for a store in the city’s center. 

To elevate their brand and compete with industry giants, Welly sought top professionals in various sectors, including design, graphic design, 3D design, and menu creation. 

The upcoming months will be crucial for Welly as they unveil their projects, including the restaurants, animated Welly toys, merchandise, a new website, and a vlog documenting their progress.
