One Of Singapore’s Most Iconic Nightlife Concepts Is Coming To Los Angeles

SBE Entertainment Group operates some of the hottest restaurants, clubs, and lounges in Los Angeles. Today it reveals another notable addition to the lineup: Zouk LA is headed to West Hollywood in early 2024. The 16,500 square-foot space will exist as a collaborative effort between SBE and the Zouk Group—a global lifestyle brand based out of Singapore.

Its namesake club is an iconic institution back in Southeast Asia, where for 32 years it has enjoyed status as one of the region’s top nightlife venues. Back in 2021, the brand entered the American market with Zouk Las Vegas. It’s been one of Sin City’s premiere destinations ever since. This next partnership with SBE will mark the enterprise’s first foray into California.

The concept will occupy the space currently held by Nightingale Plaza at 643 North La Cienega Blvd. The interior will be reimagined by the award-winning boutique design agency, Studio Collective. For this, lead designer Christian Schulz will retain the “spatial energy” inherent to the Zouk brand. This includes distinctive flourishes throughout tiered levels, dynamic lighting, and a luxurious-yet-logical flow from the chandelier-topped dance floor outwards into the sleek and stylish bars along the periphery.

Those bars, by the way, promise to serve all sorts of inventive cocktails beyond the typical vodka and soda fare familiar to a nightlife hotspot. That’s one of the arenas in which the managerial expertise of SBE will really demonstrate its strength.

“We are thrilled to announce this partnership with SBE in creating a new entertainment and lifestyle destination in the city of Los Angeles,” said Zouk Group chairman Hui Lim. “Together we have years of expertise in hospitality, which perfectly positions us to create a pinnacle experience of nightlife.”

While there are no specifics, as of yet, on what the F+B program will include, you can rest assured that the entertainment at Zouk LA will include some of the biggest talent in the industry. The Vegas venue has already boasted residences from marquee names including Tiësto, ZEDD, Jack Harlow, deadmau5, DJ Snake, Kaskade and RL Grime.

Bold words for a bold concept. And yet if past success is any indicator of future performance, Zouk LA will likely be quite the popular place to drink and dance the night away. We’ll just have to wait until early 2024 to see.
