At Paris 2024 Olympics, Fans Can Access Team USA House For The First Time

The Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics will mark the first Games U.S. fans will be able to attend in person since Pyeongchang 2018, after international spectators were barred from attending the Tokyo Summer Games in 2021 and the Beijing Winter Games in 2022 due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Team USA fans who may be thinking of planning a summer trip to Europe to overlap with the Games on July 26–Aug. 11 (Olympics) and Aug. 28–Sept. 8 (Paralympics) have a never-before-offered additional incentive: at Paris 2024, for the first time, U.S. fans will have access to Team USA House in the historic Palais Brongniart.

At previous Olympics, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee’s (USOPC) Team USA House has served as an exclusive home base for Team USA athletes such as Michael Phelps, Megan Rapinoe and Allyson Felix as well as their families and VIP guests.

In Paris, fans will have their first chance to access the hospitality experience, which will offer a home base to cheer on Team USA, Team USA athlete appearances, Olympics viewing opportunities via NBC, American- and Parisian-inspired food, the official Team USA Shop and more.

Purchasing a Team USA Hospitality and Travel Package through the USOPC in partnership with On Location, the official hospitality provider for Paris 2024, is also the only way U.S. fans can guarantee tickets to their favorite Olympic events. Otherwise, fans enter a random draw and hope they have the chance to attend their chosen events.

The package also includes 3- and 4-star hotel accommodations, airport and railway station transfers and access to Paris’ transportation system (RATP).

“Short stay” packages (three nights) with 3-star accommodations start at €4,450 EUR for double occupancy and €5,455 EUR for single occupancy. “Long stay” packages (four nights) with 4-star accommodations start at €15,230 for double occupancy and €17,075 for single occupancy. Packages also include a guided tour of Paris and Team USA product gifting.

On Location’s main Paris 2024 website includes two package options: Paris 2024 Hospitality Global Packages and Paris 2024 Hospitality Team USA House Packages. Fans interested in experiencing Team USA House should note that access is only available as part of the latter option.

Hospitality packages are on sale now, and sales will continue leading up to the Games while supplies last.

Another level of VIP Hospitality Packages, separate from the packages available online, directly supports Team USA athletes. Fans can join the Team Behind the Team and receive an exclusive VIP experience as a special member of the Team USA delegation in Paris by contacting [email protected].

Many U.S. fans don’t realize that Team USA and U.S. athletes receive no government funding and are instead entirely supported through private funds. This is not the case for the athletes against whom Team USA competes at the Olympics—whose training, travel and even bonuses and prize money are paid out by their respective governments.

Through the private funds it receives from sponsors and partners as well as individual gifts to the 501(c)(3) nonprofit U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Foundation, the USOPC can in turn distribute support funds to the national governing bodies (NGB) that run the United States’ national sports programs, such as USA Swimming and USA Track & Field.

“Because Team USA athletes do not receive government funding, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Foundation relies on the support of the American public to empower U.S. Olympians and Paralympians on and off the field of play,” said U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Foundation president Christine Walshe. “By joining the foundation’s exclusive VIP hospitality program and directly supporting Team USA, fans can see the impact of their generosity as U.S. athletes achieve their Olympic and Paralympic dreams.”

Paris 2024 represents the first time that a dedicated global hospitality ecommerce platform has existed for an Olympic Games. Through its partnership with the IOC and Paris 2024, On Location—which provides services to other rights holders such as NFL, NCAA, UFC and PGA of America—aims to make the Games more accessible and affordable for all fans.

On Location will also serve as the official hospitality provider for Milano Cortina 2026 and LA 2028.

The Paris 2024 Games have another special draw for fans: they represent the 100th anniversary of the last Olympics held in the City of Lights. The city also hosted the Games in 1900, making it only the second city to host a Summer Olympics three times. London was the first, with the 2012 Games, and in 2028, Los Angeles will become the third.

A new Olympic sport, breaking (breakdancing), is also set to debut in Paris.
