Forbes Announces Eighth Annual List Of America’s Top Wealth Advisors

NEW YORK – April 4, 2023 – Forbes, in partnership with SHOOK Research, today announced the 2023 list of America’s Top Wealth Advisors, which spotlights the nation’s top financial advisors. This year’s list includes 250 wealth managers, who oversee $1.3 trillion in client assets. Advisors were nominated by their firm and then vetted and ranked by SHOOK research.

“With recession fears front and center, thanks to recent bank failures and ongoing rate hikes from the Federal Reserve, the steady hand of a seasoned financial advisor is needed now more no more than ever,” said Sergei Klebnikov, Staff Writer, Forbes.

Jeff Erdmann of Merrill Private Wealth Management maintains the No. 1 spot on this year’s ranking, managing $11.2 billion in total assets, followed by Lyon Polk of Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, who manages $28.7 billion.

Of the 250 advisors on this year’s list, 49 are based in New York, 48 from California and 25 from Florida. And with raging inflation and an impending recession, these 250 financial advisors are proving that sound strategy can weather any storm.

To coincide with this year’s ranking, Forbes also announced the Best-In-State Wealth Advisors 2023, which spotlights the country’s most successful financial leaders, who continue to thrive despite the global financial turmoil. The 7,321 advisors on this year’s list collectively manage nearly $11 trillion in assets.
