The launch of Meta Verified on Instagram and Facebook (Meta) in the United States was announced by CEO Mark Zuckerberg today. As of last month, subscribers in Australia and New Zealand may pay a monthly charge to have their Instagram and Facebook accounts as verified. Monthly fees for Meta Verified are $11.99 for desktop and $14.99 for mobile.
Zuckerberg announced the launch of Meta Verified in the United States on Friday on Instagram’s Meta Channel. A badge, security against impersonation, and priority access to help are all available for verified users.
Users may now sign up for the online subscription service’s waitlist. You’ll need to be above 18 years old, plus there’s a monthly cost. For your Meta Verified membership to be authorized, you must first complete the verification procedure and supply a government-issued picture ID.
Moreover, two-factor authentication is needed. If a person has completed the Meta Verification process, they cannot alter their profile information (such as their name, picture, username, or date of birth) without re-verifying.
Meta Verified users get 100 monthly Stars on Facebook and access to special stickers for use in Facebook Stories, Instagram Stories, and Facebook Reels.
In introducing Meta Verified, Zuckerberg is walking on the steps of Elon Musk. After Musk’s acquisition of Twitter last year, the social network introduced premium verification for $8 per month through its redesigned Blue membership program. Those who are already verified on Instagram and Facebook will not be required to pay for verification in the same way that Twitter does.
