Indonesian esports organization Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) is partnering with Zilliqa to create an NFT membership program for fans, according to a Zilliqa statement.
The organization has had impressive results over multiple different games in the past years, with success in PUBG championships such as PUBG Mobile League, Dunia Games WIB, PUBG Mobile Star, and Fighting League.
RRQ was founded in 2013 and currently has over eight teams across all the top esports games, such as Valorant, Dota2, PUBG, and Mobile Legends. Exposing a highly technical fanbase who are open to innovation will likely bring more people into the crypto world.
NFT membership
The new NFT-based membership will have two tiers RRQ King Pass and RRQ Royal Card. The King Pass will be available for free to existing RRQ members to access exclusive benefits. The Royal Card is limited to a run of 1,000 as an upgrade to receive exclusive events, discounts, and prizes. The NFTs have no expiry; therefore, fans will receive the benefits for as long as the membership system lives on the blockchain.
Andrian Pauline, the CEO at RRQ, said:
“The blockchain-based NFT membership programme introduced today is a breakthrough for the Indonesia esports scene. Web3 technologies represent an innovation that will allow all of us at Team RRQ to reach, reward and interact with our fans like never before – and this is only the beginning.”
Tom Fleetham, the Head of Business Development – Sporting and Gaming at Zilliqa, added that “Web3 technology enables esports teams to reward their fans in all-new ways, facilitating a closer connection between teams and their fanbases than ever before.”
