Today’s Wordle #602 Hint, Clues And Answer For Thursday, February 11th

One reason I love Wordle—and I suppose one reason I love games in general, whether we’re talking about cribbage or Elden Ring—is that they’re a form of escape. I make no apologies for my love of escapism. I’ve been escaping reality for as long as I can remember, and from where I stand it’s better to do that with a good game or a good book than with a bottle of something strong.

Then again, one must balance their escapism with an awareness and involvement in the world. You can’t escape everything no matter how much you might like to. In Turkey and Syria, over 22,000 people have died in the most devastating earthquake in recent memory.

In the Ukraine, Russia continues its baffling assault, and the larger economic war over oil prices shows no signs of abating.

But with that awareness comes the risk of becoming overwhelmed with doom and gloom, and thus we must balance that with some healthy escapism—whether that means playing video games or going on hikes or boxing or whatever. Balance in all things!

How To Solve Today’s Wordle

The Hint: When Wordle Bot malfunctions, we do this to find and fix his errors.

The Clue: This word has more consonants than vowels in it.

My opening guess—flame—was hot garbage today. I may as well have just set fire to this Wordle and walked away. 447 possible solutions remained!

Miraculously, I was able to slash that number down to just 4 with super, which was a super good word. I am truly a Wordle superhero!

From here, I had some ideas but I went with debut, hoping it would be better than begun, which was the other word I almost went with. Fortunately, it was better! Unfortunately, it still left me with one more guess for a total of four guesses.

That’s zero points for guessing in four and zero points for tying Wordle Bot (who guessed slate / diner / decoy / debug) for a total of zero huzzahs. NO HUZZAHS FOR ME TODAY!

Pfft. I’m going to go play some video games.
