Today’s Wordle #578 Hints, Clues And Answer For Wednesday, January 18th

Well it’s Wednesday and the snow is finally supposed to stop falling around here. It’s snowed something like two feet over the last few days. School is closed again today, as are many businesses and non-essential government services are down as well. I’m enjoying the hibernation, staying inside and warm and cozy. Well, except for when I’m out shoveling!

I live in Arizona, by the way. Bet you don’t picture this kind of weather when you think of AZ and the southwest, but we’re way up in the mountains and we get a lot of snow. Wild!

How To Solve Today’s Wordle (spoilers!)

The Hint: Swiss, but not cheese.

The Clue: There’s but a single vowel in this word!

The Answer:

YEAH BABY! Finally, after a bit of a losing streak (not losing completely, just losing to Wordle Bot) I finally got that bastard where it counts. I got today’s word in just three (luckily enough) and it took the Bot four.

Score: +1 for getting it in 3, +1 for beating Wordle Bot = +2 = HUZZAH!

Funnily enough, the Bot had only green boxes. Not a single yellow. He guessed Slate / churn / charm / chard.

I suppose I could have guessed charm instead of chard but I’ve been watching The Bear on Hulu (hence my opening guess of bears) and my mind is food-addled. You watch enough of that good cooking and all you can think of is food. I also have a meal to cook that actually, ironically, has Swiss chard in it in the fridge from one of those meal kit services, so the stars just aligned today. My second guess—cushy—wasn’t even as good as Wordle Bot’s churn but no matter. I win. He loses. I’m the king of the world!
