The most sought after NFT projects on the net

The surge in the success of NFTs has been known for several years now, so much so that some of the world’s most prominent personalities, companies and entities have been involved

Some of them for a while, some of them more recently, almost no one now can ignore the enormous potential of NFTs.

In detail: some examples of NFTs

Among the most prominent, certainly the Matrix NFT Avatar program, which is expected to push the boundaries of what is possible in the NFT space and will be the largest avatar program of its kind to date.

Since Matrix fans are filming themselves, it is well known just how special this NFT launch is, because for the first time ever fans can become part of this iconic story and forge their own path within the Matrix.

Specifically, each avatar costs $50 and fans have the option to purchase their avatars with fiat (credit or debit card) and/or cryptocurrency (DAI on Palm blockchain).

In addition, about 5% (5,000) of the NFTs will be retained from the initial sale for use in community activities, giveaways, customer service resolutions, and promotional purposes during the many phases of the project.

In addition, due to the live testing process, Nifty’s portfolio will contain some of the most traditionally coveted serial numbers at the time of launch (particularly Avatar numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 99,999 and 100,000).

These and many other Avatar Matrix NFTs minted on launch day will be returned to the community of avatar owners who take part in and complete Matrix missions in the future.

Completion of a mission will earn avatar owners special NFT “Skill Program” avatars that can be used to upgrade an avatar and climb the red and blue pill ranks. Collectors will have the opportunity to earn ultra-rare NFTs by climbing the leaderboards.

Another example of the voracious expansion and conquest of NFTs around the world is Zero Contact, the film starring Anthony Hopkins distributed precisely through NFTs.

The first platform to stream movie products via non-fungile tokens is called VUELE. It is scheduled to debut the new film by fresh Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins.

Titled Zero Contact, the film is directed by Rick Dugdale and is a pandemic fantasy-thriller shot in seventeen different countries during the lockdown. In Italy, the youtuber group I Licaoni is self-funding its own feature film through NFTs

According to the announcement released in July by the companies involved in the project, Vuele users will be able to purchase exclusive and limited copies of the film, as well as other collectible content. In addition, they will be able to sell these NETs or trade them on the platform. The tokens will include the film and several extras, divided into various price ranges.

Speaking about the decision to distribute the film in the form of NFTs, Dugdale explained that this technology creates scarcity in copies of the film and protects against piracy.

Still, the incident of Damien Hirst, who burned a thousand of his works from the ‘Spot Paintings’ series after selling NFT versions of them, generated quite a bit of controversy.

In fact, the artist asked buyers who purchased pieces from his latest collection to choose either the physical artwork or the NFT that represents it. Those who chose NFTs were told that the corresponding physical piece would be destroyed.

When asked how he felt about burning the works, Hirst responded by saying that it had been a good experience, better than he had expected.

The burning of the works took place at the opening of ‘The Currency’ exhibition. Hirst wore silver metal sweatpants and fireproof gloves as he collected the pieces and burned them in a kind of fireplace in London’s Newport Street Gallery. It was estimated that the burned works were worth a total of nearly 10 million pounds.

NFTs: fashion, celebrities and video games

NFTs are also joining the virtual world with Axie Infinity, a video game developed by Vietnamese studio Sky Mavis, in which players make digital creatures, called “Axies,” fight each other. The game is based on blockchain and involves the trading of cryptocurrencies to power its economy.

Each Axie is an NFT, non-fungible token, which is a digital certificate attesting to the ownership and authenticity of a product on the blockchain, the technology on which cryptocurrencies and related services are based.

As NFTs, Axies can be generated or traded with other users in exchange for cryptocurrencies. The first version of the video game dates back to 2018, but Axie Infinity has seen its popularity increase over the past year, following the growing interest in NFTs. Along with the popularity, so has the controversy, mainly concerning the video game’s controversial economic model.

Megadeth, an American thrash metal band, also released their first non-fungible token (NFT).

The unique piece, is available exclusively through an auction on the Rarible platform.

Moncler is not shying away either, joining the Arianee association some time ago to contribute to the future of the Arianee open-source protocol and its applications along with 50 other Web3 industry leaders.

With this collaboration, three different NFTs were launched: 500 NFTs associated with the iconic Moncler Maya down jacket, in platinum color; 500 NFTs for the first 500 visitors to the traveling exhibition-event Extraordinary Expedition, which opened in New York on 5 October; and 70 NFTs distributed among friends of the Moncler brand.

On 1 October, the first 500 limited-edition NFTs with exclusive features were distributed to buyers of the Moncler Maya down jacket. Each NFT was redeemable by scanning a QR code.

Provocative, like most of her songs, Madonna’s first NFT work is a digital metamorphosis signed in collaboration with Beeple, the artist behind the record of Everyday: The First 5,000 Days, which was auctioned for $69 million.

Taking the guise of a fertile Mother Nature with virtual contours, the pop star’s avatar is thus the protagonist of an ancestral tale – a visual reinterpretation of Genesis – divided into three acts. Mother of Nature, Mother of Evolution and Mother of Technology are in fact the chapters participating in the Mother of Creation series, a collection of digital art exhibited and auctioned on SuperRare, until 13 May 2022.

Over the top, transgressive and somewhat controversial like everything about the Like a Virgin artist, the non-fungible-token project by Beeple, aka Mike Winkelmann, sees Madonna giving birth first to a lush and robust tree, in the rooms of a sci-fi laboratory, then to butterflies, lying in the center of an urban setting with post-apocalyptic charm, and, finally, to robotic millipedes, immersed in an Eden with lush vegetation.

Finally, Lacoste has prepared a collection of Non-Fungible Tokens dedicated to its popular crocodile, the historic logo of the fashion house and the nickname of its founder René.

The project, called UNDW3, involves the launch of collectibles. Another major fashion company is preparing to exploit the potential of Web3, monetize with NFTs, and tighten its relationships with its audience even more on chain-based realities.

The cryptocurrency of choice will be Ethereum.

Lacoste will launch 11,212 NFTs that will reproduce unique images of the famous crocodile to sell for around $100, depending on market fluctuations.

The exchange rate in fiat will depend on the fluctuations of Ethereum, the cryptocurrency chosen to launch the collectibles and which is currently fetching decidedly low prices with the cryptocurrency market in a pronounced bear phase.
