Three soldiers from the Netherlands’ Commando Corps were injured in a shooting outside an Indianapolis hotel Saturday morning, and one is in critical condition, according to the Netherlands’ Ministry of Defense.

The Dutch Defense Ministry said the shooting took place outside the downtown hotel where they were staying while the soldiers were on their free time from a training exercise.
Local police told the Indianapolis Star a prior disturbance could have led to the shooting, which occurred around 3:30 a.m.
All three victims were taken to the hospital, local Fox affiliate Fox59 reported, and while one is in critical condition, the other two are “conscious and approachable,” according to the Dutch Defense Ministry.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, which is investigating the shooting, has not made any arrests or announced a possible motive (The IMPD did not immediately respond to an inquiry from Forbes).

There have been several shootings in Indianapolis over the past week, including two that left two people injured Friday night as well as a shooting that killed one person last weekend, according to Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.
