Justin Sun Recieved Funding Through Tornado Cash
Justin Sun, a diplomat and the creator of the TRON network, stated that use of one of his addresses for the Ethereum decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol Aave has been prohibited. Sun stated through Twitter that he received 0.1 ETH from Tornado Cash, which caused the protocol to add and block his address. Numerous well-known figures both inside and outside the crypto community, like Justin Sun, have received funding through Tornado Cash. Following the U.S. Treasury Department’s sanctions, high-profile people have received money this past week on the Ethereum decentralised exchange.
In an apparent act of defiance against the penalties, Justin Sun, Anthony Sassano, Brian Armstrong, Shaquille O’Neal, Jimmy Fallon, and the CEO of Coinbase all got 0.1 ETH. The U.S. Treasury’s actions, in the opinion of proponents of privacy, cryptocurrencies, and technology, have created a risky precedent.
