In an effort to keep its business and users up with the times and prepare for the future that increasingly includes cryptocurrencies, the largest telecom company in the world, AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T), has organized a special session in which two experts will discuss the innovation and security challenges involved with them.
Titled ‘Securing Your Digital Assets Today and Tomorrow’, the discussion will be held on July 27, at 01:00 PM Central Daylight Time and will last for about 30 minutes, according to the information shared with Finbold on July 20.
Specifically, the discussion will address the importance of security for innovation, the issues and perceived risks of edge computing, as well as the convergence of network functions and security controls, the company highlighted.
As the announcement explains:
“Innovation is central to delivering strong business outcomes. And, security is at the core of innovative offerings for your digital assets – your applications, your data, your infrastructure, and your endpoints.”
Who will be speaking at the session?
The participants include Jonathan Nguyen-Duy, a Field CISO and Vice President at cybersecurity technology company Fortinet (NASDAQ: FTNT), and Theresa Lanowitz, a Director of Cybersecurity Communications at AT&T Business. They both have extensive knowledge and experience in their respective fields.
Indeed, Nguyen-Duy is responsible for developing innovative solutions to address the challenges of digital transformation, boasting broad experience in securing complex networks and root cause analysis of more than 12,500 data breaches.
Lanowitz, on the other hand, has a diverse background in software development, product management, industry analytics, and application security technology, fluent in trends and emerging technology that help today’s enterprise organizations flourish.
As it happens, AT&T isn’t the only telecommunications operator interested in the crypto future.
In mid-July, Korea Mobile Telecommunications Services Corp (SK Telecom) announced a partnership with AhnLab Blockchain Company and Atomrigs Lab to develop a crypto wallet service that would allow users to store several forms of digital assets.
