MonkeyLeague and BUFF team up to merge Web2 and Web3 gaming

MonkeyLeague, a leading Web3 gaming platform, has announced a collaborative initiative with Web2 powerhouse Buff Gaming Platform as they target merging Web2 and Web3.

According to the two platforms, the collaboration will also see the BUFF community benefit from special edition Monkey NFTs.

This will help bridge Web2 and Web3, with the benefits of crypto and blockchain brought to a growing community of gamers across the world, the two companies said in a press release shared with Invezz on Tuesday.

Web3 benefits for millions of gamers

The Buff Gaming platform, with over 6 million users and 430,000 daily active gamers across over 3 million game instances, is a giant in Web2 gaming. The platform has a huge community of users benefiting from loyalty rewards associated with legendary titles such as Fortnite, Valorant, League of Legends and Counter-Strike.

Apart from the loyalty rewards system, the platform’s users have access to the BUFFpay card, a bridge for seamless transactions across digital and real-world payments.

MonkeyLeague’s partnership with Buff is set to bring the benefits of blockchain gaming to this community, according to Buff Technologies Ltd CEO Elay de Beer.
