The leading technology company in telephony, Samsung, recently spoke about its developments in Web3 focused on NFT auctions. According to reports, the electronic firm would be managing a portal on Discord where it will give a more detailed view of its advances in technology. In this way, the South Korean company would be adding itself to the group of NFT fans.
NFT trading is gaining popularity as the entire cryptocurrency market recovers from its latest bearish streak. Samsung shows it will continue to support new technologies.
Technology multinationals heading to the NFT market
In previous months, the technology multinational Samsung indicated how good its foray into the Metaverse was through the 837X project. Eventually, the company would become present in virtual universes with the Super Star Galaxy project within Roblox.
According to its manager, the Korean firm will explore NFTs using a Discord account activated between June 7 and 10. The non-fungible project will be a digital mission that will deepen different objectives.
Samsung’s manager on Discord said that the portal has an impressive design, is very easy to use, and is ready to explore the NFT market, Web3, and other technological projects. After the launch of the dedicated portal, it showed a record with over 6000 users. The manager indicates that the first users will have an OG role, and the rest will receive gifts throughout the launch.
Samsung developments based on new technologies
The entire South Korean electronic group has rapidly advanced through Web3 since the beginning of the year 2022 to have the position as one promoter of new technologies. In the first month of the year, the Samsung company announced its foray into virtual universes using Decentraland. The firm would discuss its interest in the NFT market in that period.
Over five months in development, the company has around 800 Decentraland stores. The firm indicates that the main Decentraland project headquarters is in New York, specifically in the Manhattan district. However, this store will be open only to the public on a limited basis, but the reason for this was not stated.
Remember that in May, the technology firm launched an NFT platform with Nifty Gateway, which has been working with the non-fungible token scheme for over 3 years. Reportedly, this partnership enabled the integration of the NFT space into Samsung-owned Smart TVs to give easy access to their fans. But Nifty would also enable the project for MicroLED and The Frame televisions.
The NFT platform would have over 6,000 virtual pieces available, granted by artists such as Beeple and Pak, who are gaining priority in the digital market. The Nifty director expressed that the project aims to improve the NFTs adoption to make it more fluid.
