In what appeared to be a phishing attack, a Moonbirds owner lost 29 of these Ethereum-based NFTs. Cirrus tweeted that the stolen non fungible tokens [NFTs] were worth roughly $1.5 million and were obtained by clicking on a malicious link given by the attacker. Moonbirds is an Ethereum NFT collection with over 10,000 profile photographs for those who are unfamiliar. Holders get access to the ‘PROOF community,’ as well as the ability to nest their NFT owls for future rewards.
Moonbirds NFTs Are What They Sound Like
The suspected scammer used the P2P transaction, according to Twitter user and NFT enthusiast Andeh. He claimed in the forum that he had made contact with the victim and had tracked down the bad actor’s residence and name. Andeh also said that the assailant is a seasoned crook who has already been involved in other schemes.
