To create a K-drama metaverse, the Sandbox metaverse teamed with Studio Dragon, a Korean drama production studio behind titles such as Crash Landing on You, Sweet Home, and Kingdom: Ashin of the North.
NFT with drama content
The Sandbox said on Tuesday that the two will create a K-drama playground on their LAND in the Sandbox metaverse based on Studio Dragon’s intellectual assets.
For the K-drama metaverse, Studio Dragon will issue non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with its drama content.
Studio Dragon has already released several NFTs based on their television shows Vincenzo and Hotel del Luna.
The Korean entertainment industry is actively entering the metaverse race, with competitors HYBE, SM, JYP, and Cube Entertainment announcing similar projects in the recent year.
What is The Sandbox metaverse?
Rather than being a single game, The Sandbox is a collection of diverse games, settings, and other experiences.
The team has kept the metaverse open-ended, allowing future artists and players to build, own, and monetize it. You can use the Game Maker to create 3D game experiences in the metaverse.
In addition, The Sandbox provides free ASSET creation tools. VoxEdit is a free program that allows you to make voxel assets. In addition to VoxEdit, The Sandbox offers a free program called GameMaker.
Sandbox NFT game
The Sandbox is an Ethereum-powered decentralized NFT game metaverse that allows non-techies to create, sell, use, and monetize their own virtual reality NFTs.
The entire in-game economy is supported by the crypto metaverse’s native cryptocurrency SAND.
