Fox has announced six new series — dramas Monarch, Accused and Alert; animated comedies Grimsburg and Krapopolis; and another entry from Gordon Ramsay, Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars — next season. But the network, however, has not announced a primetime schedule, which makes any type of specific analysis impossible.
At some point, Fox will have to announce to advertisers where these shows will be airing.
“Fox Entertainment enters the Upfront – a week literally built for broadcasters to align with advertisers – as the only company, no matter the platform, with advertising at its core,” said Charlie Collier, CEO, Fox Entertainment in a statement. “As you’ll see during our presentation, building barriers between our best content and our brand-partners simply isn’t our business model.”
Surprisingly, the network is moving forward on a second season of low-rated freshman comedy Welcome To Flatch. Not returning on Fox next season will be two freshman entries: drama Our Kind of People and sitcom Pivoting. Fox has not yet made decisions on the non-scripted entries Alter Ego, I Can See Your Voice, Domino Masters, The Real Dirty Dancing and its Joe Millionaire revival.
New seasons of the Fantasy Island reboot and LEGO Masters, previously scheduled to air this summer, now will air during the 2022-2023 season. LEGO Masters will also be featured as the multiple-night event Celebrity LEGO Masters: Holiday Bricktacular.
The returning series on Fox are dramas 9-1-1: Lone Star and The Cleaning Lady; live action comedy Call Me Kat; animated sitcoms The Simpsons, Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, The Great North and Housebroken; and non-scripted The Masked Singer, Crime Scene Kitchen, Hell’s Kitchen, Masterchef and Beat Shazzam. Additional series renewals will be announced. by Fox.
