Method Man launches MEFaverse, the NFT love collection

MEFaverse by Method Man of Wu Tang Clan fame represents the diverse intersection of Hip Hop culture, gaming, art, tech, entertainment, and comic books.

The innovative NFT collection is a network of 3D virtual worlds focused on social connection and a graphic novel inside the metaverse. It was created by and features Method Man, the legendary rapper, MC, and actor. Method Man created and executed the project in tandem with Ray Acosta of WMG, Invezz learned from a press release.

Mef and Ray introduce second phase

Method Man and Ray Acosta achieved a successful benchmark with the first phase of the project on March 25 this year. This was a result of extensive collaboration with a team of crypto experts and innovation leaders.

The second phase of the unique collection consists of NFT profile pictures centering on love, broadly speaking: love of ‘NFTs and Web 3.0, love of hip hop culture, love of comics, love of art, love of self, love of skateboarding, and love for one another’ in Mef’s words.

Method Man, whose real name is Clifford Smith, explained:

We literally lifted 20 of the main characters from the graphic novel and made 20x mini-collections consisting of 420 variations and unique traits of each for a total of 8400 variations. We wanted to provide a safe place for everyone interested in all things Hip Hop, comic books, skateboarding, gaming, Web 3.0 and, of course, art. Times are different today than when I was coming up. Be proud of your nerdism and wear it on your chest! I know I am.

Ray added:

We are taking chances and creating the unexpected. Building the first graphic novel inside the metaverse with utilities that gives back to the community is priceless, and it’s only the beginning.

Minting of MEFaverse starts on Friday, April 8, and will be available to an exclusive audience. NFT holders can potentially benefit from additional income. The minting price has been set at 0.08 ether (ETH/USD).
