Exness, a major name in the retail brokerage industry, has promoted Artem Seledtsov as the company’s new Chief Business Development Officer, according to an update on his Linkedin profile.
Based in Cyprus, he joined the broker in July 20220 as the Head of Global Country Development and was later promoted as the Global Expansion Director, a role where he spent more than a year.
Seledtsov is bringing solid industry experience to his new role in the company, where he already spent almost the past couple of years. Before joining Exness, he co-owned a financial services platform, WTW Invest, and also headed as the Chief Executive for almost three years.
Prior to that, he was the CEO at PMTrade (Parimatch Group), another forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) broker, between June 2019 and July 2020. His other notable experience in the industry includes his tenure at TeleTrade for more than three years as its Global Sales Director.
He started his professional career in Ukraine’s Raiffeisen Bank Aval in early 2005 as a Leading Manager. Then he joined OTP Bank and spent there eight and a half years, where he climbed the corporate ladder and parted as the lender’s Executive Sales Director. He also founded and headed DonMushGrow before making his move into the trading industry, according to his Linkedin profile.
Hitting an Industry Record
Seledtsov’s promotion came when Exness smashed the industry record by registering more than $2 trillion in monthly trading volume, Finance Magnates reported exclusively recently.
The broker is also focused on strengthening its leadership and hired Peter Plester, the former Head of FX Prime Brokerage at Saxo Bank, to lead its B2B sales efforts around the world. Late last year too, the broker made several key hires including Kirill Ermakov as the Chief Security Officer and Ahmed Badr as its Sales Team Lead for MEA.
