Canadian ISP integrates crypto payments

Crypto payments is being embraced by almost every business globally. Recently, Oxio, a Canadian internet service provider has become one of its kind firms in the nation that intended to accept Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as a method of payment. Notably, to integrate such a payment method the firm has collaborated with Coinbase, one of the early cryptocurrency startups that allow merchants to accept digital assets for goods and services.

Oxio implements crypto payments method

Making a coalition with one of the leading crypto exchange platforms Oxio is now accepting crypto payments. Following the announcement, Marc-Andre Campagna, the CEO and co-founder of Oxio explained that as a first independent digital ISP in Canada, it was obvious for them to accept cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin as a method of payments. Indeed, the firm believes that digital assets are built for the people of the internet.

Moreover, it is notable that Canadians are more and more interested in digital currency. Indeed, Oxio is happy to offer them a way to pay their bills with their preferred digital asset, whether it’s BTC, ETH, LTC, or others.

Digital assets service is only available to limited users

According to Oxio, for now the crypto payments services are available to people looking to pay their bills online. However, it is arguably a bigger move forward in the industry that many cryptocurrency were initially designed as payment methods. These assets can help push cheques, credit cards, and fiat currencies aside. However, the journey of these assets has been relatively slow as given that the volatility that often comes with digital assets has caused many firms to say no to crypto.
