Crypto Exchanges Bitget Becomes Sponsor of Galatasaray

Crypto exchange Bitget, which made the headlines after its deal with Juventus, has made another big-ticket sports sponsorship deal: this time with the popular Turkish football club, Galatasaray.

Announced on Thursday, Bitget will sponsor the football club for the rest of the ongoing 2021-2022 playing season. The

 exchange
has gained the status of the club’s official crypto partner and will receive promotional slots across multiple platforms and media assets of the Turkish sports giant’s football team and basketball team.

“Turkey has demonstrated significant interest in the crypto sector and we look forward to growing our community in this market as we continue to lead educational and knowledge sharing opportunities within the space,” said Bitget’s CEO, Sandra Lou.

The deal was brokered by Capital Sports Media Group, but none of them revealed the amount involved.

Deep Pocket Crypto Companies

The sponsorship deal has been made when crypto companies around the world are showering money on

 marketing
campaigns to bring themselves closer to the mainstream.

Several crypto exchanges like Coinbase, FTX, and Crypto.com recently spent tens of millions of dollars for short ad space during the latest Super Bowl event. Coinbase’s ultra-simple campaign was so popular that the platform could not handle the sudden spike in traffic and briefly crashed.

Bitget itself inked multiple deals in the sports industry even before this latest Galatasaray partnership. It is the sleeve sponsor of popular Italian football club Juventus, along with a couple of deals in the esports industry.

“We are proud to announce our sponsorship agreement with Bitget,” Galatasaray’s Vice President, Bikem Kanık, said.

“Galatasaray have been working hard to find a crypto exchange that fits our vision and we decided that Bitget as one of the world’s leading crypto companies was the right brand to enter into this mutually beneficial agreement. We look forward to working closely with them and aligning on both our visions
