Chingari launches revamped app on Google Play and Apple Store

Chingari, dubbed the ‘Indian Tiktok’, launched its revamped mobile app featuring its native $GARI token on Google Play Store and Apple App Store on Monday, February 14, following a successful testnet launch by the platform’s community last month.

Chingari also plans to introduce an in-app wallet with $GARI as the main token in the ecosystem.

Chingari wants to revolutionize content creation in order to onboard the app’s millions of daily users to the Solana (SOL/USD) blockchain. $GARI will make it possible to ‘tip’ producers on the app and ‘boost’ their profile and content. You can also deposit and withdraw it from their in-app wallet and trade it on major global cryptocurrency exchanges.

Token listed on FTX, Kucoin, Huobi simultaneously

Last week, the $GARI token was listed on several prominent CEXs and DEXs at the same time, the first for any crypto in history. Those included FTX, Kucoin, Huobi, Gate.io, OKEx, and MEXC Global. Less than a day later, $GARI trading volume passed $100 million.

Salman Khan introduced $GARI

The token launched in October 2021 with fanfare and attention from the mainstream media. Bollywood actor-cum-brand ambassador Salman Khan introduced it and the app to new markets and audiences.  

Unrivaled community demand

The token might provoke unrivaled demand from the crypto community with over 100 million downloads on the Chingari app. The app launched $GARI as an SPL token on the Solana blockchain in a bid to support fast and affordable on-chain transactions.

The $GARI network will introduce a video NFT marketplace on the Chingari app in the next quarter.
