Sneakmart has launched Metakicks, an NFT mystery sneakers box collection, lending the space a new dimension through limited-edition footwear with Web3 implications, Invezz learned from a press release. With it, they are positioning themselves for success on many fronts, including the resale market, which is worth $6 billion.
Combining sneaker madness with NFT tech

The first drop, which has been scheduled for February, will include a total of 6,250 boxes. It is a major milestone in the startup’s plan to bridge the gap between digital and physical sneakers, enabling fans and collectors to become fashion pioneers.
The Metakicks collection is a combination of NFT technology with sneaker madness. Sneakmart CEO and co-founder Anthony Debrandt said:
Sneaker addicts love to collect and wear a lot of sneakers. Everyone loves sneakers today, everyone wears them. With Metakicks, we want to give the opportunity to start collecting digital sneakers through unique designs.
Lots of options for the mystery boxes
Metakicks is an affordable digital sneaker collection that comes with many surprises. For one, nobody will know what they are getting. They can open the box or keep it closed and resell it on the secondary market.
Unique edition designs
An example of unique edition designs is the pair designed for Didier Drogba, a retired world-class soccer player. Otherwise, the mystery boxes come with 3D animations, 15 unique designs, and various degrees of rarity, ranging from normal to epic.
Participants in the drop can win physical sneakers when buying an NFT mystery box too. The possibilities include various Jordan, Adidas, and Nike models. Travis Scott cooperated in the creation of four of the Jordan pairs that will be available.
Partnership with bespoke sneakers creator
Last but not least, the startup boasts a series of high-profile partnerships with brands and celebrities for its NFT collection. They include Savoir Faire Paris, a French bespoke sneakers creator.
