The Associated Press is entering the NFT space by incentivizing photojournalism.
The wider cryptocurrency market is somewhat flat over the past 24 hours after the price of BTC faked a breakdown yesterday. The total cryptocurrency market capitalization is down less than 0.5%, while BTC is up a negligible 0.2%. Most altcoins are down more than 1%, including ETH, SOL, DOGE, SHIB and others.
NFT Snapshot: Associated Press to launch NFT marketplace
The Associated Press is looking to monetize photojournalism through the use of nonfungible tokens, per an announcement made yesterday. The marketplace in question, which is built by Xooa, will utilize Polygon — which the AP claims is friendlier to the environment — and will launch on Jan. 31.
No stranger to blockchain technology, the AP previously used Chainlink to provide access to AP data via the oracle network.

BTC technical analysis: Market buyers keep it afloat
The price of BTC is holding on to major support by a thread after a false breakdown took place yesterday — which saw an influx of market buyers on Coinbase prop the price up. The four-hour ribbon of exponential moving averages is continuing to provide pressure from above, but a collapse appears to be (at least) delayed.
ETH technical analysis: EMA ribbon proving resistant
ETH is starting to regain some ground against BTC but is still at the mercy of sellers near the four-hour EMA ribbon. Until the leading altcoin can overtake the EMA ribbon, there is little reason to be bullish on ETHBTC.
