7 Hotel Loyalty Program Promos To Earn More Points In The New Year

To kick off 2022, several hotel loyalty programs are launching (or continuing) popular points-earning promotions that can plump up your points balance. For travelers looking to travel now or plan for a vacation later, these deals can help make that dream hotel redemption a reality.

Keep these seven hotel loyalty promotions top of mind if you have travel plans in the coming months or are looking to cash in on any recent travel-related holiday gifts.

Wyndham Rewards 10,000 points for weekday stays

When you check in at a Wyndham Rewards property between a Sunday and Wednesday night and stay for at least two nights, you are eligible to receive 10,000 bonus points. Be sure to register for the promotion before the trip. Reservations must be made by Feb. 15, and guests must complete their stay by Feb. 22.

World of Hyatt “Bonus Journeys” to ring in 2022

Timed perfectly to ring in the new year, World of Hyatt is offering 2,022 bonus points for every two nights you stay at one of more than its 1,000 hotels worldwide. World of Hyatt Credit Card holders get extra perks with 1,000 bonus points for every night they stay at more than 180 hotels in ten different U.S. cities including Chicago, Dallas and San Francisco among others. Both offers require advance registration and are good for stays between Jan. 15 and April 22.

2x points with Homes & Villas by Marriott International

Renting a private home via Homes & Villas by Marriott International is even more beneficial thanks to a double points offer available from now until Jan. 21. While reservations must be made by that deadline, it is valid on stays through the summer (Aug. 30, to be exact). There is no registration required for this offer, but reservations must be made directly with Homes & Villas by Marriott International for stays of at least three nights to qualify. Typically, Marriott Bonvoy members earn five points for every eligible dollar spent, but this promotion doubles it to 10x earning.

Double points with IHG Rewards

Between Feb. 1 and March 31, IHG Rewards members can earn double points on stays at IHG Rewards-participating hotels around the world, including familiar brands like InterContinental (which is celebrating its 75th anniversary) and avid hotels. There is no limit to the number of points that members can earn with this offer. The promotion is valid for all paid reservations made with IHG, but be sure to register before staying. The registration period and link for this promotion will be available starting Jan. 19.

Fast track to IHG Rewards Platinum Elite status

After registering for this elite status promotion, IHG Rewards members that stay five qualifying nights within 90 days at any IHG hotel around the world will automatically earn mid-tier Platinum Elite status. The benefit will last all the way through the end of December 2023. Perks associated with the Platinum Elite tier include space-available upgrades and late checkout. Registration for the promotion will be available between Jan. 12, 2022 and March 12.

Hilton Honors “Points Unlimited” bonus

There’s no limit to the number of Hilton Honors points you can earn with the Hilton Honors Points Unlimited promotion. Once registered, members can earn 2,500 bonus points for every eligible stay between now and May 1 at any of the hotel company’s more than 6,700 hotels and 18 brands around the world.

Best Western “Rewards Rush” double points

Between now and Feb. 6, guests staying at Best Western properties in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean can earn double points when paying a points-earning rate. There is no limit to the number of points a member can earn, but registration for the promotion is required before arriving at the hotel.
