At least 13 people died, including seven children, with two others injured in a fire that tore through a Philadelphia rowhouse Wednesday morning, a Philadelphia fire official said during a press conference.

Firefighters responded to a report of a fire around 6:40 a.m. in the Fairmount neighborhood, the Philadelphia Fire Department said in a tweet.
Upon arrival on the scene, firefighters found heavy fire on the second floor of a three-story rowhouse.
It took 50 minutes for companies to place the fire under control, according to the PFD.
