The UFC President Fires Back At Paul’s Challenge

Let’s just make it happen right now: Dana White vs. Jake Paul inside the octagon. The UFC President counter-punched Paul with his own social-media salvo on Saturday night:

In the post, White doubled-downed on his challenge to Paul to get tested for steroids, calling him a “cheater.” And White said he would randomly get tested for cocaine, which Paul claims White uses.

White’s reaction comes after Paul said earlier on Saturday that he would retire from boxing in exchange for one UFC fight and if White made sweeping changes to his organization, including increasing fighters’ pay and focusing on long-term healthcare for retired UFC fighters. Here’s that post:

White said of Paul’s social-media post: “Nobody on earth thinks you really wrote that. You’re too stupid.”

Paul has continuously called out MMA fighters Jorge Masvidal, Nate Diaz and Connor McGregor. Paul — the YouTube sensation-turned-prizefighter — is 5-0 in his boxing career, including two wins over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.

White claims Paul needs to fight a marquee MMA fighter because his pay-per-views are tanking. The UFC president said: “You’re calling out Jorge Masvidal because he’s a pay-per-view superstar. Nate Diaz, Conor McGregor, Mike Tyson, these are all superstars. You’re not. You can’t sell pay-per-views.”

The White-Paul feud went nuclear after White appeared on “The Fight with Teddy Atlas” and issued the PED-test offer to the Internet’s biggest troll. White said: “I got a challenge for Jake Paul. This guy keeps saying that I’m a coke head. He can randomly cocaine test me for the next 10 years if I can randomly steroid test him for the next two.”

On Teddy Atlas’ podcast, White said there’s zero chance he’d permit one of his MMA stars to fight Paul while still under contract with the UFC. He also called Paul “a goofball.”

Paul has yet to respond White’s latest social-media attack, but undoubtedly he will.
