In February, crypto hack and scam losses fell to 26.5 million dollars according to PeckShield, reaching the lowest level since March 2025. Two of the 15 incidents accounted for the majority of the total losses: on February 21, 10 million dollars via price manipulation from YieldBlox DAO’s lending pool, and on the same day, approximately 8.9 million dollars stolen through private key exploitation from IoTeX’s decentralized identity protocol. This figure represents a 69.2% decrease compared to 86 million dollars in January.
