Pump.fun Acquires Vyper: SOL Memecoin Move

Pump.fun has acquired the crypto trading terminal Vyper. Vyper will end its independent product and move its infrastructure to the Pump.fun ecosystem, the Solana memecoin launchpad. Vyper announced it will shut down its core functions as of February 10; limited features will remain accessible. Users are being directed to Pump.fun’s Terminal tool (formerly known as Padre). This move reflects Pump.fun’s strategy to consolidate its trading flow from token launches to execution and analytics. The acquisition price was not disclosed.

Pump.fun had previously acquired Padre on October 24, strengthening liquidity and execution, and established its Pump Fund investment arm in January. The platform, which launched a $3 million hackathon on January 20, expanded its memecoin-focused structure. As the memecoin market cooled, according to DefiLlama data, Pump.fun’s monthly revenue fell from $137 million in January 2025 to $31 million in January 2026. According to CoinMarketCap, the memecoin market cap dropped from $100 billion in December 2024 to $28 billion.
