Alex Warren Makes History As He Claims The No. 1 Radio Song Again

After first finding fame on TikTok, Alex Warren worked for years to be taken seriously as a singer-songwriter. A large portion of his fan base followed him into his creative pursuit, but it wasn’t until his song “Ordinary” reached the charts that his music career took off.

“Ordinary” became the biggest song in the world and dominated charts around the globe throughout 2025. While the tune itself is not nominated for any Grammys, its success brings Warren to the Best New Artist category. The smash is largely declining on many of the most important Billboard charts, but as it holds at No. 1 on one competitive list, Warren ties one of the most successful smashes of all time and makes history.

“Ordinary” Leads the Radio Songs Chart Again

“Ordinary” is steady at No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart for another frame. The tally ranks the tunes that rack up the largest number of total audience impressions across all radio stations throughout the United States.

Radio Songs is one of three rankings that help build the Hot 100, the list of the most consumed tunes throughout the nation. The Hot 100 blends sales, streams, and radio airplay to detail the biggest hits in America each week.

“Ordinary” Reaches a Milestone on the Radio Chart

As of this frame, “Ordinary” has led the charge on the Radio Songs chart for 26 weeks – exactly half a year. It is just the third track to make it to that milestone in the decades-long history of the tally.

As “Ordinary” celebrates 26 weeks in first place on the Radio Songs ranking, Warren ties with The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights.” Both cuts managed exactly half a year on top of the Radio Songs list, and they jointly sit in second place on this all-time roster.

Only one tune, Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” has held on and commanded the Radio Songs chart for a longer stay. That cut, one of the most successful of all time in America, beat The Weeknd’s record, which was originally set back in 2020, when it earned its twenty-seventh stay at the summit last year.

Alex Warren’s Only Radio Hit is a Historic Smash

Warren has earned multiple hits on several of Billboard’s most closely watched charts, with several tunes debuting on various lists after “Ordinary” turned him into a star. While he claims a handful of successes on rankings like the Hot 100, as well as the Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales rankings, he has only ever scored a single smash on the Radio Songs tally to date.

Alex Warren Blocked Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift From No. 1

Several superstars have been blocked from dominating the Radio Songs chart as “Ordinary” refuses to budge. Currently, Olivia Dean’s breakout hit “Man I Need” lifts to No. 2, its all-time high. Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” missed the mark by just one space, as did Justin Bieber’s “Daisies.” All three of those tracks continue to take up space within the top 10 on the airplay list.

“Ordinary” Rules Multiple Radio Rankings

In addition to the Radio Songs chart, “Ordinary” is also stationary at No. 1 on both the Adult Contemporary and Adult Pop Airplay rosters, two of the three pop radio tallies published by Billboard each week. More than a month ago, “Ordinary” passed Santana and Rob Thomas’ “Smooth” as the longest-running No. 1 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, and this time around, it becomes the first cut to reach 30 weeks in first place.

“Ordinary” has now commanded the Adult Contemporary roster for an even dozen periods, and it could continue to lead for several more, as the radio list moves much slower than most other Billboard-published rundowns.
