A little more than a week ago, Bruno Mars unleashed his brand new single “I Just Might,” and the tune only needed a matter of days before it became one of the hottest songs in the world. “I Just Might” launches in impressive positions on charts globally, which is to be expected, as it is the first taste of Mars’s long-awaited upcoming album, The Romantic – his first solo offering in nearly a decade.
Interest in “I Just Might” and all things related to Mars was so high in the past tracking frame that fans in the United Kingdom began listening to the work that made him famous all over again. Several of the singer-songwriter’s albums surge on the charts, and a handful return to various rosters, while the project that started it all reaches a never-before-seen peak on one hugely competitive roster.
Doo-Wops And Hooligans Reaches Its All-Time Peak
More than 15 years ago, Bruno Mars dropped Doo-Wops & Hooligans, his debut full-length. This week in the U.K., that set leaps up the Official Albums Streaming chart, which, as its name implies, ranks only the most successful full-lengths and EPs on streaming sites in the U.K.

This time around, Doo-Wops & Hooligans jumps from No. 78 to No. 25. That position marks the blockbuster’s new high point.
Doo-Wops And Hooligans Triumphs After Hundreds of Weeks
Doo-Wops & Hooligans first appeared on the Official Albums Streaming chart in March 2015, half a decade after it was released. Mars’ introductory studio effort reaches its newly-set high shortly after celebrating 400 weeks as one of the most streamed collections in the U.K.
Bruno Mars’ History on the Streaming Albums Chart
Throughout the years, Mars has placed four titles on the Official Albums Streaming chart. That’s a small number for one of the most successful names in pop music history, but he typically spaces out his eras by several years.

The most recent of his four wins – 24K Magic and An Evening With Silk Sonic, which is credited to the duo Silk Sonic, as well as individual members Mars and Anderson .Paak – broke into the top 10 and settled at Nos. 4 and 3, respectively. His lowest-peaking project remains Unorthodox Jukebox, which only ever climbed to No. 75.
Doo-Wops And Hooligans Returns to Multiple Charts at Once
Doo-Wops & Hooligans lives on a trio of rankings in the U.K. this week. As the hits-packed project soars to its new best showing on the Official Albums Streaming chart, it also climbs more than 50 spaces north on the Official Albums list, surging from No. 84 to No. 31. Doo-Wops & Hooligans returns to the Official Album Downloads ranking, landing at No. 72 after not appearing on the sales roster just last week.
Bruno Mars Sees Several Albums Become Chart Wins Again
Doo-Wops & Hooligans is one of three albums by Mars to reappear on at least one list in the U.K. 24K Magic finds its way back to the Official Albums Streaming and Official Albums charts, setting up shop at Nos. 80 and 96, respectively.
An Evening With Silk Sonic only manages to appear on the Official Hip Hop and R&B Albums ranking, and only just barely. That project, which produced the global hit “Leave the Door Open,” is back at No. 39 in second-to-last place on the roster that details the bestselling projects that the Official Charts Company classifies as hip hop, rap, or R&B.
“I Just Might” Debuts at No. 1 on Half the Charts It Reaches
While fans of Mars are clearly returning to his back catalog, the focus is, of course, on “I Just Might.” The track kicks off its time inside the top 10 on each of the four tallies on which it debuts. “I Just Might” launches at No. 1 on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts, while opening at No. 6 on the Official Singles list and No. 10 on the Official Streaming ranking.
