KuCoin and Casual Films Earn Top Honors at 2025 Vega Digital Awards for Brand Film Featuring Golfer Adam Scott

The 2025 Vega Digital Awards has revealed the winners of its Season 2 competition, marking the 10th anniversary of the program with over 1,200 entries from around the world. The awards celebrate innovation and excellence in digital creativity and storytelling across industries.

Among this year’s standout entries was a brand film produced by Casual Films in partnership with cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin. Featuring professional golfer Adam Scott, the film explores shared values between elite sports and digital finance, such as discipline, trust, and precision. The project received four Platinum Awards and one Gold, with judges praising its storytelling quality and cinematic presentation.

“This award is not only a recognition of our creative expression, but also a reflection of KuCoin’s steady progress in building a compliant and trustworthy presence in global markets. Our collaboration with Adam Scott enables us to communicate KuCoin’s values of trust, transparency, and security in a more authentic and relatable way. Moving forward, we will continue to drive the industry forward responsibly, creating content that brings greater clarity and confidence to users around the world,” said BC Wong, CEO of KuCoin.

Thomas J Elliott, Executive Producer and Creative Director at Casual Films (Hong Kong and Greater China), also commented on the achievement:

“We are incredibly honoured and humbled that KuCoin’s brand film with Adam Scott has been recognized with four Platinum and one Gold Vega Digital Awards by the international panel of judges. This brand film was a creative drive to connect the precision and trust inherent in elite performance with the secure, reliable world of KuCoin… The remarkable recognition of the KuCoin brand film by the Vega Awards is a wonderful validation of our team’s dedication to craft and innovation.”

The film’s release coincided with KuCoin’s continued expansion into the Australian market. Notably, the company recently secured registration as a Digital Currency Exchange (DCE) provider with AUSTRAC, underscoring its commitment to regulatory compliance and secure access to digital assets.

The partnership with Adam Scott gained further visibility due to his recent performance on home turf. Scott secured victory at the Cathedral Invitational and achieved strong results at the Australian PGA Championship (7th place) and the Crown Australian Open (5th place), aligning with the campaign’s message of consistency and excellence.

Entries to the Vega Awards were evaluated through a blind judging process to ensure impartiality. The jury featured professionals from leading organizations, including Amazon, Colgate-Palmolive, AdventureLAB, and Cummins & Partners.

This season also saw participation from major global players, including Google, GRAMCO Limited, Chinachem Group, and the Toronto Film School. Submissions represented projects for brands such as Princess Cruises, PIGEON Shanghai, and Resorts World Singapore.

“The pace of digital transformation has never been faster, and these winners embody what it means to stay ahead,” said Thomas Brandt, spokesperson for the International Awards Associate (IAA), which oversees the Vega Digital Awards.
