The rock band Creed became one of the biggest names in the genre and reached amazing commercial heights more than 20 years ago with just four full-length albums. It has been well over a decade since the group delivered a project, and the musicians have now shared just as many compilations featuring the hits that made Creed a household name as albums.
Despite that odd fact, it seems that Americans are not done consuming any new collection of smashes by Creed, as a new one titled The Best Of debuts across multiple Billboard charts this frame, showing that there is still intense interest in everything connected to the superstars, even as the future remains uncertain.
Creed’s The Best Of Debuts Inside the Top 10
The Best Of by Creed debuts on six Billboard charts this week. The compilation manages a top 10 start on only one list, the Top Hard Rock Albums tally, where it begins its time at No. 4.
Creed Earns Yet Another Top 10 Bestseller

Creed earns its third top 10 win on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, which ranks the most consumed full-lengths and EPs in that one subgenre of rock music. The Best Of follows behind Full Circle, which managed a single period at No. 1, and another compilation, Greatest Hits, which missed out on ruling by one spot.
Two other Creed titles — Human Clay and With Arms Wide Open: A Retrospective — both coincidentally peaked at No. 12.
Aerosmith and Yungblud Chart a Joint No. 1 Ahead of Creed
Creed earns the second loftiest of just two debuts on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart this frame. One More Time, a collaborative EP by Aerosmith and Yungblud, opens in first place.

The Best Of Opens Inside the Top 20
The Best Of also finds its way to a top 20 beginning on three other genre-specific Billboard lists. The Creed compilation misses the top 10 by one spot on the Top Alternative Albums chart, kicking off its time at No. 11. The same hits-packed project is new to both the Top Rock Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Albums tallies, starting at Nos. 17 and 20, respectively.
How Many Copies Did Creed’s The Best Of Sell?
Creed’s The Best Of sneaks onto the Top Album Sales chart in second-to-last place at No. 49. Luminate reports that the album sold a little more than 3,150 copies in the most recent tracking period.
The Best Of also finds its way to the Billboard 200, which is a consumption-based list. That is the tally where The Best Of performs the worst, as it debuts at No. 103. The compilation moved 11,800 equivalent units, with about one-third of those being actual purchases, while streaming activity made up the rest.
Creed’s The Best Of Surges After Physical Release
Creed first released The Best Of back in September, although at the time the compilation was only made available digitally. Physical copies on vinyl and CD did not drop until November 21, and it seems that most diehard followers of the outfit were waiting to own the title and be able to hold it in their hands.
Sales of The Best Of were only at double digits last week, and grew by more than 14,200% from one frame to the next. That uptick helps The Best Of finally become a win across all half dozen Billboard charts on which it debuts this period, as streams and digital sales were apparently not enough to turn it into a success originally.
What Songs Are Featured on Creed’s The Best Of?
The vinyl edition of The Best Of features 10 songs, while the CD and digital editions include two additional tracks, “Hide” and “A Thousand Faces.” The compilation includes the band’s standout smashes like “Higher,” “One Last Breath,” “My Sacrifice,” and “With Arms Wide Open,” among others. Just one tune, “One Last Breath,” manages to find space on a Billboard chart this week, as it slips slightly to No. 13 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs ranking.
