According to Crypto In America, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has concluded its investigation into another altcoin.

Accordingly, the SEC has concluded its 2-year investigation into ONDO, paving the way for the company’s expansion into tokenized assets in the US.

According to the report, the SEC has closed its investigation into tokenization company Ondo Finance without recommending any charges.

The investigation into Ondo Finance was launched in October 2023 during the term of former SEC Chairman Gary Gensler.

The investigation examined whether Ondo complied with U.S. securities laws when tokenizing U.S. Treasury products and whether ONDO tokens should be classified as securities.

An Ondo spokesperson said they received official notification from the SEC in late November that the two-year investigation against them had concluded.

The SEC’s investigation into Ondo joins the ranks of major investigations that cryptocurrency advocate SEC Chairman Paul Atkins has closed since taking office, including those involving Coinbase, Ripple, and Kraken.

Following this news, there was a huge increase in the price of ONDO.
