Week 14 Fantasy Football Stock Report: Risers And Fallers

For many fantasy football leagues, Week 14 is the final slate of games before the fantasy playoffs. In addition to players seeing increased fantasy value because of injuries or new opportunities down the stretch, others could see their stock fall heading into the fantasy playoffs because of a declining role or disappointing performance. Here are the top Week 14 fantasy football risers and fallers to keep in mind for your waiver wire claims, lineup decisions, and long-term roster strategy.

Week 14 Fantasy Football Risers

A.J. Brown, WR, Philadelphia Eagles

Brown has been one of the most disappointing wide receivers this season. Through Week 11, he only had 38 receptions for 457 yards and three touchdowns. However, his last two games have seen him receive a total of 22 targets. That helped him catch 18 passes for 242 yards and three touchdowns. Three of the Eagles’ final five games will be against the Commanders and Raiders, both of which have allowed at least 25.7 points per game. Brown could be at the center of explosive offensive performances from the Eagles moving forward.

Bucky Irving, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Irving made his return from injured reserve in Week 13 against the Cardinals. There was talk about him possibly receiving a limited workload before the game, but he ended up with 17 carries and two targets in the matchup. He turned them into 61 rushing yards, one touchdown, two receptions, and 20 receiving yards. With the expectation that he has no workload limitations now, Irving can be a difference-maker in fantasy.

Jameson Williams, WR, Detroit Lions

Amon-Ra St. Brown left the Lions’ Week 13 matchup with the Packers in the first quarter with an ankle injury. With him out, Williams stepped up to catch seven of 10 targets for 144 yards and one touchdown. St. Brown has been diagnosed with a low-ankle sprain, meaning that he could miss at least Week 14. For however long he is sidelined, Williams will be the Lions’ top wide receiver option.

Week 14 Fantasy Football Fallers

Tre Tucker, WR, Las Vegas Raiders

Tucker was only targeted three times against the Chargers last week, finishing with three receptions for 20 yards. That marked the fifth time over the last six games that he has posted fewer than 40 receiving yards. Things won’t get any easier for him with his next three opponents being the Broncos, Eagles, and Texans. They all rank inside the top-10 in the league in fewest points allowed per game. It’s ok to drop Tucker and use his roster spot to stream players with more favorable matchups.

DJ Moore, WR, Chicago Bears

Moore recorded two receptions for 17 yards against the Eagles last week. In three of his last four games, he has finished with fewer than 20 receiving yards. His next three games are against the Packers, Browns, and Packers again. Those two teams rank inside the top-six in the league in fewest passing yards allowed per game. It’s difficult to have any confidence in Moore for that stretch.

David Njoku, TE, Cleveland Browns

Njoku hasn’t caught more than two passes in a game since Week 8. What’s even more concerning is that he has been targeted a total of six times over the last four games. He has been surpassed by Harold Fannin Jr. for targets at tight end, so even though he has been a productive player the last three seasons, it’s time to drop Njoku in fantasy.

Takeaway

Brown, Irving, and Williams are all on the rise heading into Week 14. The same can’t be said for Tucker, Moore, and Njoku, who are fine to drop in the majority of fantasy leagues.
