In a few days, Madonna is likely to score a new hit album with Bedtime Stories: The Untold Chapter. The EP is packed with tracks written and recorded during her Bedtime Stories era that fans might not be familiar with. Some are previously unreleased tunes, while others are simply demos or new mixes of singles and previously-shared cuts.
Madonna has been promoting Bedtime Stories: The Untold Chapter for weeks with a handful of tracks, and “Love Won’t Wait,” the most recent of the bunch, becomes a bestseller in the United Kingdom, where it almost makes it to top 40 status on multiple tallies at the same time.
“Love Won’t Wait” Launches on Multiple U.K. Charts
“Love Won’t Wait” debuts on two charts across the Atlantic Ocean this week. The track starts highest on the Official Singles Downloads list, kicking off its time at No. 44. Madonna’s latest release comes in just three rungs lower on the Official Singles Sales tally, which ranks the bestselling songs in the U.K. regardless of genre, length, language, or how fans purchase the piece of music — be it on a physical format or digital download.
Madonna’s Fifth New Bestselling Song of 2025
Madonna scores her fifth win of 2025 on the Official Singles Sales chart as “Love Won’t Wait” debuts. She has previously launched “Live to Tell,” “Gone Gone Gone,” “Dress You Up,” and “Right on Time” on the same roster in only the past few months.
Madonna Has Fared Even Better on the Downloads Chart
The pop icon has managed to be even more successful on the Official Singles Downloads ranking, where she is now up to half a dozen new placements in this year alone. In addition to “Live to Tell,” “Gone Gone Gone,” “Dress You Up,” and “Right on Time,” “Superpop” also barely managed to rank among the bestselling downloads in the country for one frame, as it opened and peaked at No. 100.
Madonna Has Collected a New Bestseller Three Months in a Row
On the downloads-only roster, Madonna’s winning streak continues into a third month. “Right on Time,” which is also featured on Bedtime Stories: The Untold Chapter, debuted on the chart in October. “Superpop” then arrived just under a month later, in mid-November. Only a few frames later, “Love Won’t Wait” continues her run and shows that the British public is eager to support this new EP, which dropped on November 28.
Madonna Looks Into the Past with Veronica Electronica and Confessions on a Dance Floor
The year 2025 has been a huge one for Madonna releases, though the singer-songwriter has yet to deliver a complete project of original material. She began her streak in July with Veronica Electronica, a remix album centered around her Ray of Light era. That title opened at No. 23 on the main list of the most consumed albums in the U.K. and brought Madonna back to No. 1 on the dance-specific roster.
In November, Madonna celebrated the anniversary of her Grammy-winning album Confessions on a Dance Floor by dropping a Twenty Years Edition. That effort also became a bestseller in the U.K., helping her vault to the peak position on the Official Dance Albums tally. This week, Confessions on a Dance Floor almost returns to that spot as it improves from No. 7 to the runner-up position on the genre-focused ranking.
Madonna Prepares Her Next Era With Confessions 2
Amidst all of her retrospective releases, Madonna is hard at work on her next chapter. Reportedly, the powerhouse musician is planning on delivering a sequel to Confessions on a Dance Floor, which, for the moment, is being referred to simply as Confessions 2, though it may come with a different official title when the singer is ready to promote it. That studio LP is expected to arrive at some point in 2026, though no release date has been shared with the public.
