Liv Morgan returned at WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2025 and helped Dirty Dominik Mysterio to a win. Liv appeared to turn on Dominik initially, but then she low-blowed Cena shades of Cena’s ill-fated heel turn at Elimination Chamber.
John Cena defeated Dominik Mysterio for the WWE Intercontinental Championship during Cena’s final Raw appearance in his hometown of Boston, Mass. The monumental win for Grand Slam Cena ended a seven-month run as Intercontinental champion for Dom. Mysterio was favored headed into his match against Cena, who only has one match left in his Hall of Fame career set to take place on December 13 at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C.
John Cena Vs. Dominik Mysterio Highlights As Liv Morgan Returns
- Dominik received a warm welcome as the hometown hero, especially when announced from San Diego, Calif. John Cena interacted with a Dodgers fan during his entrance, but was cheered loudly nonetheless. As Cena and Dirty Dom faced off, there were dueling chants. Dom received more of a heel reaction as Raquel Rodriguez got involved early. Roxanne Perez was also ringside.
- Dom dumped Cena out of the ring and fans showered him with a vulgar chant in Spanish.
- Dom hit a hurricanrana from the barricade and had an ugly landing on his shoulder. As officials checked on Cena, Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez pounced on Cena. Roxanne hit Pop Rox as Mysterio miraculously recovered, hit a 619 and a splash. The referee refused to count, and instead ejected the Judgment Day.
- Cena came back with his Five Moves of Doom, punctuated by two “You Can’t See Me” taunts and a Five Knuckle Shuffle. Mysterio countered the AA into a rollup, but Cena transitioned into an STF.
- Dom removed his boot and laid out John Cena. Dom followed up with a splash for a nearfall. After putting his boot back on, Dominik walked into an AA for a nearfall. Fans chanted “this is awesome!”
- Cena and Dom went back-and-forth with punches. Cena built up a head of steam, but accidentally knocked out the referee with a flying shoulder tackle. Cena trapped Dom in a second STF, but Finn Balor and JD McDonagh hit the ring and picked up where the women left off.
- Super Cena battle back, ultimately squashing Balor and McDonagh in the corner. Cena hoisted both men in the air at the same time for a double AA, shades of WrestleMania 25.
- Dominik laid in wait for Cena. Dom missed a belt shot and took another AA. Out came Liv Morgan. Liv Morgan slapped Dominik Mysterio before jumping into John Cena’s arms. Heel Liv then slapped Cena in the face and kicked him in the groin. Dom did the rest with a 619 and a splash for the win.
What’s Next For John Cena And Dominik Mysterio In 2025?
John Cena will wrap up his legendary career with his last match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Gunther is favored to be Cena’s final opponent through one full round of the Last Time is Now Tournament. There will be a legitimate debate as to whether or not Cena should win his final match, which will add to the intrigue of this spectacle no matter who it’s against.
With Dom and Liv reunited before Mysterio got the chance to cheat on Morgan, there will continue to be tension between Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez. An inevitable love triangle awaits.
