WWE Survivor Series 2025 emanates from Petco Park in San Diego, Calif. Four matches are currently advertised, including two WarGames matches which will take up the majority of WWE’s fourth PLE on ESPN in 2025.
John Cena’s penultimate match takes place against the undeniable Dominik Mysterio. Cena’s first Intercontinental Title defense very well may be his last. Meanwhile, Stephanie Vaquer is a gigantic favorite against Nikki Bella, who turned heel en route to their Women’s World Championship clash. Last week’s AEW Full Gear saw plenty of upsets on the night, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Survivor Series had an upset or two to spark momentum en route to Cena’s final match.

WWE Survivor Series 2025 Preview And Predictions
John Cena Vs. Dominik Mysterio
Dominik Mysterio is on the short list of future megastars—not just in WWE—but pro wrestling as a whole. Mysterio now finds himself in rarefied air as one of the few WWE Superstars who can say they wrestled John Cena during his retirement tour. Check the list. It’s almost exclusively current and future Hall of Famers. Cena is an underdog in his first WWE IC Title defense.
There’s a strong possibility that Dirty Dom regains his IC Title. But Cena losing this close to his final match would take the wind out of the sails of what’s already been a sketchy sendoff. Cena’s final match being contested for the IC Title will add an elusive amount of esteem to the championship, which is already one of WWE’s most valuable titles.
Prediction: John Cena def. Dominik Mysterio
Stephanie Vaquer Vs. Nikki Bella
Nikki Bella turned heel on Stephanie Vaquer a second time, with the first time being when she called her “Stephanie Vaquay.” Bella now occupies the role of the gatekeeping old guard here to reclaim her yard. It wouldn’t be the worst storyline decision to let Nikki Bella run with the women’s world championship. Nikki has shown the ability to carry a world title effectively as a heel.
Nikki Bella recently teased a possible return of Brie, who said there’s still one last run in her. Brie Bella helping her sister win her first WWE Women’s World Title is within the range of outcomes. Stephanie Vaquer has put together a string of good-to-great matches as WWE women’s world champion. As fun as a Nikki Bella world title reign would be, Nikki doesn’t need that rub. The real rub would come if Vaquer defeated the legendary women’s star.
Prediction: Stephanie Vaquer def. Nikki Bella
Women’s WarGames Match
Unlike the men’s WarGames match, which feels more like two unified fronts going to war, the women’s WarGames match is more of a collection of individual feuds all combined into a WarGames match. Both matches have the obligatory “can they coexist?” subplot, but it feels like the women’s WarGames match will highlight more individual feuds. Becky Lynch vs. AJ Lee; the Kabuki Warriors vs. Asuka and Rhea Ripley; Charlotte and Alexa vs. Lash Legend and Nia Jax.
WWE’s answer to AEW’s answer to WCW WarGames will be far less bloody. But given the talent and star power involved, it should be a better wrestling match.
Prediction: Nia Jax, Lash Legend, the Kabuki Warriors and Becky Lynch win women’s WarGames
Men’s WarGames Match
The men’s WarGames match is filled with grizzled veterans who work harder than they have to. Given the fact that there are so many top stars involved, there figures to be more posturing and engaging with the crowd before WarGames explodes into a live-action montage of crowd-pleasing bumps off the cage and finishers through the table.
The Vision, namely Bron Breakker, would benefit from a win far more than the made men who fill up the babyface side. In many ways, the tease for Breakker vs. Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 could—and should—start with this match with each monster trying to one-up one other.
