Shiba Inu shared it would make a privacy upgrade to the Shibarium platform. The team has also partnered with an AI gaming company to boost SHIB’s utility.
Shiba Inu Prepares Shibarium Privacy Update
Lucie shared in an X post that the Shibarium platform will have full on-chain privacy by the second quarter of 2026. She mentioned that the cryptography firm Zama will add its encryption solution to the network.
This new technology will help with secure smart contract execution on Shibarium and its governance token. FHE will allow for encrypted transactions and interactions with contracts.
Shiba Inu’s move to make this upgrade comes after it improved the security of Shibarium’s system. This update came after the network was hacked.
Lucie shared an image showing that Zama’s public testnet is now live on the Ethereum Sepolia network. The roadmap also states that Zama will launch on Ethereum’s mainnet before the end of the year.

Following that phase, Zama plans to expand its toolkit to EVM-compatible chains in the first half of 2026. It will do a separate deployment to Solana by the end of 2026.
The FHE of Zama enables the smart contracts to work on encrypted data without decryption. With such technology, Shibarium would evolve from a regular Layer-2 chain to a blockchain that focused on privacy.
The latest upgrade comes amid heightening developer activity. In early July, Shiba Inu launched updates to its Shibarium developer hub. These changes also led to an increase in daily transactions.

This builds on the SHIB AI-focused roadmap laid out by the lead of the team, Shytoshi.
The technology powering TokenPlay AI was developed by Astra Nova and backed by NVIDIA and AGI research. It also partners with Alibaba Cloud to supply scalable infrastructure for Web3 developers.
The deal will allow creators using the SHIB ecosystem to access tools that will enable them to create apps and simple games in a matter of seconds, This would be with no need for coding.
