Ray Romano, Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett and many others share their memories during the Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion special, which is new on streaming.
During the special, show creator Phil Rosenthal recalls how Everybody Loves Raymond began to take shape in 1995 when he caught a stand-up comedy named Ray Romano doing a stand-up comedy set on The Late Show with David Letterman.
The idea blossomed into the sitcom produced by Letterman’s production company, Worldwide Pants, and it debuted on CBS Sept. 13, 1996. A two-time winner of the Outstanding Comedy Series Primetime Emmy Award, Everybody Loves Raymond ran for nine seasons and wrapped up in 2005.
Staged on a recreation of the show’s original set and hosted by Romano and Rosenthal, the Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion special first aired on CBS on Monday night and simultaneous streamed on Paramount+ Premium tier.
The official description of the 90-minute special reads, “Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion special will feature candid conversations with castmates Brad Garrett, Patricia Heaton, Monica Horan, Madylin Sweeten and Sullivan Sweeten, as well as never-before-seen outtakes and commentary from the cast on how they became one of America’s most beloved families.”
During the special, each of the cast members recalls their favorite episodes and lines from the series, and clips from several episodes are featured throughout. In addition to other segments, the special reveals never-before-seen footage from the series.
The Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion special is now available to stream anytime on Paramount+.
Paramount+ offers two streaming tiers. The ad-based Paramount+ Essential tier costs $7.99 per month, while the ad-free Paramount+ Premium tier costs $12.99 per month. Both Paramount+ tiers come with a free seven-day trial period.
