Vertically integrated Layer 1, Supra has announced the opening of applications for its MultiVM testnet during today’s keynote at Devconnect Buenos Aires. Supra powers MultiVM smart contract execution with native oracles, dVRF, automation, and cross-chain communication.

The network aims to offer EVM developers and MoveVM developers a powerful new foundation to build, test, and deploy high-performance and scalable applications with high security, composability, or liquidity; hence, the launch marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of dApp development.

The team said:

“We built MultiVM because we believe developers should never have to choose between innovation and access. Supra aims to give teams the ability to write smart contracts in the languages of multiple virtual machines and deploy them into a fully parallelized environment, while also accessing native automation and cross-chain services, all within one unified infrastructure.”

As part of the developer empowerment, SolanaVM support is expected to be deployed early next year, making Supra the first L1 to support multiple virtual machines and execution environments from a variety of ecosystems.

SolanaVM will empower Supra MultiVM to enable dApp developers to write smart contracts in either Solidity or Move by tapping into Supra’s native services, including 600+ built-in Oracle price feeds, cross-chain communication, and automation capabilities.

This way, Supra intends to empower projects to go beyond just Ethereum-compatible environments and interoperate with applications from other growing ecosystems. Supra’s MultiVM is poised to redefine what is possible in the multi-chain era, making Supra a decentralized global supercomputer.

The network’s next big addition is SupraEVM, which is its native EVM-compatible implementation that incorporates SupraBTM, a hybrid parallel execution engine capable of deterministic, conflict-aware scheduling.

Its primary aim is to ensure higher throughput and lower latency without requiring developers to modify existing Solidity contracts, setting a new standard for other EVM chains in the industry.

Notably, SupraBTM has been benchmarked as the fastest publicly tested parallel EVM executor to date. Independent analysis confirms that SupraBTM outperforms emerging EVM projects such as Monad in high-conflict DeFi workloads, while maintaining verifiable safety and deterministic finality.

To further confirm that this assessment is accurate, Supra’s Co-Founder and CEO, Joshua Tobkin, launched a $1 million public bounty for any team capable of beating SupraBTM’s performance by 15% or more in open, reproducible benchmarks.

The open application for a grant program today is aimed at attracting the best talent to the Supra ecosystem. The program invites EVM developers seeking early access to the MultiVM Testnet environment to submit their best ideas and applications.

To participate in the grant program, interested development teams can apply directly via the official application portal. Winners will have access to Supra’s next-generation infrastructure, engineering support, and funding for projects that demonstrate strong technical merit and alignment with Supra’s multi-chain vision.

Up to 10 development teams will be supported, with each team eligible for up to $25,000 in milestone-based grants. Selected projects will work closely with the Supra developer relations team to define technical milestones, deploy contracts on MultiVM infrastructure, and prepare for eventual mainnet integration in early 2026.

Meanwhile, Supra has embarked on a range of infrastructure developments recently, including the launch of the DevWire Hub, a new resource portal offering tutorials, CLI tools, RPC documentation, and weekly updates for developers building in Supra’s ecosystem, further empowering them.
