All The Vintage Jewels Jennifer Lawrence Borrowed From Sotheby’s

Topline

Jennifer Lawrence has dipped into the Sotheby’s jewelry vault to accessorize several looks on her “Die My Love” press tour with vintage pieces that will soon be up for public sale.

Key Facts

Lawrence paired a minimalistic Dior gown with a pair of vintage clip-on earrings from jewelry designer Joel Arthur Rosenthal at the Governors Awards last weekend.

The earrings, designed to resemble a frost with pear-shaped diamonds at the center, are worth an estimated $300,000 to $500,000 and will be sold in the “Legacy of Elegance” Sotheby’s auction on Dec. 8.

That same auction will include a 1930s rock crystal, pearl and diamond brooch designed by 20th-century Parisian jewelry designer Suzanne Belperron, expected to sell for between $20,000 and $30,000.

Lawrence wore the brooch to accessorize an all-black outfit from The Row at the 2025 CFDA Awards.

At the New York premiere of “Die My Love” earlier this month, Lawrence wore David Webb’s enamel and diamond “Hot Dog” necklace from the 1960s, which will be auctioned off in a fine jewelry auction on Dec. 11 and is expected to sell for between $25,000 and $35,000.

It’s not clear if Sotheby’s and Lawrence are engaged in a paid partnership or if the auction house is working with her stylist Ryan Hastings on an ad hoc basis.

Tangent

Sotheby’s hosted two record-breaking auctions Tuesday night. A functioning toilet made from more than 220 pounds of gold—and with an odd connection to President Donald Trump—was sold for $12.1 million by billionaire hedge fund manager and New York Mets owner Steve Cohen. The auction house also facilitated the sale of late cosmetics billionaire Leonard Lauder’s personal collection, which included the sale of “Portrait of Elisabeth Lederer” by Gustav Klimt for $236.3 million, the most expensive Klimt painting ever sold.
