The world’s top two players, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, learned about their respective groups at the upcoming ATP Finals following Thursday’s draw in Turin, Italy.
The season-ending ATP Finals features the top eight men’s singles and doubles players based on their results throughout the 2025 season. The week-long event is considered to be the biggest after the four Grand Slams.
Sinner, the defending ATP Finals champion, headlines the Bjorn Borg Group, which will also feature Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton and Felix Auger-Aliassime or Lorenzo Musetti.
If Musetti, who is currently World No. 9, wins the ATP 250 title in Athens this week, he will qualify as the eighth seed. Otherwise, Auger-Aliassime will go through as the eighth seed.
The Jimmy Connors group is headlined by top seed Alcaraz. Joining him are 24-time major champion Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur.
Spaniard Alcaraz, who reached the semi-finals in 2023, is aiming for his maiden title at the season-ending championships, while Sinner was an undefeated champion in 2024.
Apart from Sinner, the other former champions at this year’s event are Djokovic (record seven titles) and Zverev (two).
The 2025 ATP Finals will be held from November 9 to 16 on the hard courts of the 12,000-capacity Inalpi Arena.
The tournament will follow a round-robin format, with the top two players from each group advancing to the knockout stage.
A record $15.5m total prize money is on offer at the tournament – an increase of $250,000 on 2025. An undefeated champion can earn a record $5.07m.
